Afternoon Tea Chef

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Afternoon Tea Chef to join our friendly kitchen team at Mama Doreen’s Emporium in Harrogate.

Working closely with our senior chefs and bakery team you will provide the very best afternoon teas that Yorkshire has to offer.

This role will require someone with high attention to detail and passion for well presented food.

We pride ourselves on delivering great food and experiences, offering not just our well known Afternoon Tea’s but also offering guests a great Brunch and Lunch menu too.

This role will be suitable for someone looking for either part time or full time work, but weekends will be necessary. The role is usually day time hours, but the odd evening also for any planned events.

Responsibilities:

• Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients
• Prepare Afternoon Tea, Lunch & Brunch in a timely manner
• Delegate tasks to kitchen staff
• Inform wait staff about daily specials
• Ensure appealing plate presentation
• Supervise bakers and assist as needed
• Slightly modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy)
• Monitor food stock and place orders
• Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
